Here at Boogie Beats we provide professional quality mobile discos, eye catching disco lights and superior sound equipment suitable for all small and medium sized parties – although we’ve been known to do the odd large party here and there!

All our equipment is PAT tested and we are fully covered for public liability insurance.

We supply friendly, approachable and professional DJs and Childrens’ entertainers to your office christmas party, birthday party, your wedding day, an anniversary or community event.

We also have the skills and expertise of performing at the high street bars and clubs playing a wide cross section of music as requested by patrons or against a set music policy – this could be anything from 1960s through to the latest chart music.  It doesn’t stop there, we can even lend ourselves to putting on specialised evenings such as playing house music, R&B and soul.

Smudgy Entertainments

The wedding day can be a long haul for your younger guests. After being as good as gold before and during the ceremony and photos, they are then expected to sit through a meal the seems to last forever. It can be too much for some of them. Mum and dad also feel the strain, trying to keep the children happy. Why not let Thelma take the pressure off.

She can attend during the wedding breakfast making her amazing balloon creations for both your younger guests and inevitably for some of your older ones too. Then she can take the children to another area just before the speeches are about to start. She will entertain the children with a fun magic show and organise some games for them. Thelma will bring everything needed including presents, bubble machine and music for the children if appropriate. Mum and dad can relax, enjoy the speeches and socialise with the other guests knowing their children are having a fun time. Alternatively Thelma can attend between the meal and the evening celebrations to fill the gap. Both the Children and adults will love her.

Mango Acoustic Duo

We love music, and know it means a lot to others too. By having us play during your special day, we aim to create the perfect atmosphere by performing the songs you love, in our relaxed style.

Mango will provide a first-class service, and would love to play a part in your big day.

We usually play during one of the following options... but can be more bespoke if you'd like.

Mango can create the perfect atmosphere with live music for your wedding ceremony as we play a few songs as your guests are being seated, a song for your processional, two songs during the signing of the register, and a final song for the Recessional (You are welcome to choose the songs from our set list, plus we can learn a special song for you) We can then move location inside or out to perform over your drinks reception.

Drinks Reception
While you are whisked away by your photographer, we can entertain your guests with some cool acoustic covers. We can perform 2 x 45 minute sets over this period (or 1 x 90 minute set if time is tight) and often perform outside – should the lovely British weather allow!

Wedding Breakfast
We can play 2 x 45 minute sets during your wedding breakfast – performing non obtrusive, tasteful background music for you and your guests. This is a great time for us to play if you really want to listen to us too!

Evening Reception
This is perfect if you are looking for that something different to start your evening celebration. We can play 2 x 45 minute sets giving the unmistakable atmosphere of live music, and could finish our last set with your first dance (a song which we could learn for you) before we hand over to a DJ to take the party into the night.

If you want something a little livelier, we can be Mango Acoustic Trio! Joined by 'King Konga' - an amazing Percussionist!

Ermine Street Ceilidh Dance Band

The Ermine Street Ceilidh Band is led by Bill Wilson and Steve Taylor who, together with other local talented musicians, provide a unique blend of Scottish and Irish Ceilidh music with more than a hint of Americana. With fiddle, Irish melodeon, guitar and 5 string banjo, our distinctive sound lends itself to all manner of "toe-tapping" folk dances, appealing to a wide range of age groups. Our dances are easily within the grasp of the absolute novice and, with the help of the band's expert caller, you will soon discover that your Ermine Street Ceilidh is an ideal way of breaking the ice between guests at your wedding.  If you have any special requests, perhaps for a bagpiper or for a waltz for the Bride and Groom, we will do our utmost to help.
